    I actually had an embarassng situation where I ordered a ton of lumber for a project that I decided not to do. So I had to cancel my order that they had already pulled together for easy pick up. They didn't blink and just cancelled my order and fully refunded me without any issues at all. They didn't try to deny my return/cancellation. They didn't even try to charge a restocking fee. I was very impressed with their HR, and their lumber would have been a great deal too.

    I returned a broken chainsaw to Lowe's and was trying to exchange it for the same one. They didn’t have any in stock, and I was told I could go to any Lowe’s and complete the exchange there, so I left the chainsaw and went to another location. Once I got to the second Lowe’s, I was told that was wrong information. I called the first store, and they admitted I was given incorrect info by an employee and told me to come back, saying they’d take care of me. Unfortunately, it just ended up wasting my time because the only option they gave me was a cheaper chainsaw that somehow cost more than the original. While I appreciate the attempt to make things right, the employee’s ignorance and lack of basic math and cross-referencing ended up wasting my time. If I had been given the correct info from the start, I could’ve either kept the chainsaw and fixed it or gone to a location that actually had it in stock. That option was taken away when they accepted the return under the assumption I’d be able to get another one anywhere. All in all 1 employee and a senior employee need to take an extra 10 minutes to verify simple work.

    Nice clean store and several staff asked if I needed help. Staff tries to be helpful, but often they just consult the Lowes app on their phone. With a few welcome exceptions, the days of staff having even basic knowledge about their store's particular section (plumbing, electrical, hardware etc.) seem long gone. Lowes seems to have mostly abdicated the role of catering to professionals and DIY types to the '...other Orange guys'

    Worst experience I’ve had in a very long time! I tried to order a bathroom vanity from Lowe’s, they told me it would be ready for pick up on a certain day.. it never came and they could never help me figure out why the vendor never shipped it. They were not helpful at all. I had an installer ready to do tile and change our vanity and had to cancel on him as well since I have to order a vanity from somewhere else. I understand that delivery times may change or be pushed back but nobody could help me figure out what was going on or what to do next. They basically said “we can’t tell you” “we have no way of knowing” I should have ordered with Home Depot which is what I wanted to do in the first place but I would have waited a few more days on delivery time and Lowe’s promised me an earlier delivery time that they ended up not being able to deliver anyway. Highly disappointed with the entire purchase experience and customer service I received from here. Ended up canceling my order. Good luck if you order time sensitive materials from Lowe’s.
