The rate was great and the unit seemed nice and clean. I paid extra so I could have 24 hours access to my belongs as I was preparing to purchase a home. I had visited my unit several times since June to retrieve items that I needed while in transition to my new home. The only small issue that I had while returning to my unit over the months was spiders which typically isn’t a big problem. I visited my unit three weeks ago to retrieve some personal items and everything was normal. I returned to my unit on Saturday October 25 2025 at approximately 6pm. Immediately after opening the door I had to kill a roach. No big deal but as I being to look over my items I notice mice/ rat dropping and urine all over my belongings. There was no way to contact a live person in an emergency situation. I had to wait until Monday morning to talk to the manager of the location. She was no help at all. She basically informed me that since I declined the insurance on the rental that the company couldn’t do anything about the infestation. My only option was to move into a new unit at my own expense. This is unacceptable as I have never had to deal with rodents inside of a storage unit. If I was informed of this potential rodent issue prior to agreeing to the rental agreement I would have purchased the insurance or went elsewhere to patronize a different company. Now I’m left to deal with this situation while still searching for a new home. Rental beware!!!
