I asked for help twice in the blinds section. Two different people paged them over the PA system that I needed help. I waited 30 minutes but no one ever showed up. I don’t do well with bad customer service. I won’t be back.

Paid over $300 for a storm door at 12:15pm and drove about 45 minutes. Got home and opened the box at 2pm and found the storm door was defective. Called the store and Jorge refused to take my call and sent a message via customer service that I needed to call the manufacturer. This is the worst store ever. We are a non-profit and we work with vulnerable populations. This door is unsafe and nothing is being done about it. They said it’s at the managers discretion unless I paid $200 to have it installed. We purchased two and we will be returning the other and going to Home Depot. Shame on Lowe’s. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company and then returning this garbage.

We purchased a $700 generator from this McDonough, GA Lowe’s before an expected snow storm. The employee working that aisle that day told us, I’ll tell you like I tell everyone else. If you open it- you own it. He said unopened/unused you have 30 days to return it. We never opened or used it. We tried returning it on a Sunday a week later. They wouldn’t return it. They said the return rule is 48 hours. We called Lowe’s customer service in which they told us to go back into the store and tell them yes we can return it. Based on the corporate return policy- unopened unused it is a 30 day return policy. We went back into and told them. They refused. Asked to speak to store manager, said manager was not there and to come back tomorrow. My husband went back Monday to which they would never be him the store manager. Only the customer service manager. Ridiculous. They still would not return it. We’ve spent about 4 hours or more dealing with this between customer service in person and on the phone. Lowe’s will never get a penny of our money again. I would never expect such a thing from Lowe’s. Their own employee walking around telling people that on the day of purchase, to corporate telling us we have every right to return it and the store refuses. They ordered extra generators in for the snow and just don’t feel like dealing with returns of them. Terrible customer service when the policy says EXCEPTION- unopened and unused has a 30 day return window.

The way that the sales associates basically attack you about whether you own a home all the great deals and whatever else they got going on is crazy. I never thought that I would prefer to walk through a mall solely dedicated to massage and perfume kiosks. On top of that having not been helped beyond being asked if I own a home to then go to self checkout ring up over $1,000 and then be told by the person there stop I need to move you over to this other cash register making me think that I had missed something or I was in trouble to then proceed to give my transaction to some other person up front who rang me out and then basically ambushed me into filling out the survey that normally people tell you to go fill out later and you never do. But then to answer all the questions himself giving himself an amazing review with questions like how is your service today did we greet you well was said person you're filling the survey out about helpful. Normally I would applause the persistence however this felt very strategic and opportunistic for a store that has resorted to self checkout and greeters. Which is to no fault of the employees necessarily because this is what they are told to strive for as a performance indicator but really this just puts a bad taste in the customer's mouth. Instead of pushing surveys to determine performance why not instead push employees to actually perform. To be attentive to the customers and create a rapport to maybe help them on their shopping journey quicker. I was waiting in an aisle with an electrician also waiting for help and him and I spoke more than we were spoken to from an employee and we're able to help each other out with finding the next item on our list. Do better Lowe's
