She was with our 5-year-old grandson who has autism at the McDonough Lowes on Willow Lane and went into the store to purchase a gallon of Exterior Semi-Gloss white paint. She was the only customer at the paint counter and there was no associate present at the paint counter, so she waited 10 minutes, and no one showed up. Sha asked 3 different people 3 different times to call someone to the paint counter to help her. After close to 25 minutes an older white gentleman walked right by her and she asked him for help. He told her he had to press a button at the counter and proceed to help another customer who had just walked up to the counter. At this point she had been there for 30 minutes waiting for help. The same gentleman proceeded to help several other people and never did help my wife find the paint she was looking for. I was on the phone with her the whole time and witnessed the poor service and heinous treatment of my wife. Eventually she found the paint on her own and then asked another older black gentleman to shake the paint for her, and he would not and handed her a sick to stir it. That fact that this man completely ignored her plea for help with such a simple request as a gallon of exterior semi-gloss paint is absolutely ridiculous and totally unacceptable. It is frustrating enough to walk into that store and not be able to find anyone to help you, except the returns associate or the person at the checkout. It's this type of behavior that causes customers to shop at Home Depot. I will be posting negative reviews on BBB, Yelp and Google.

Fortunately Christine, at the customer service desk, was not only happy to help me but she really educated me so I could make a good choice. Once on the exact Isle and Bin she sent me to Davian still happily helped me refine my selection from many choices. I took my three choices back to Christine and she had still more good advice. It was 1:13 and a customer was standing with her loudly complaining about waiting for a manager, the Panhandlers waaayy out in front of the store,near the road, and the trash in the parking lot. I don't know how she maintained her composure because I didn't and asked him to please stop attacking her, which he, in fact was, with his harsh tone and volume. He remarked back that I should mind my business and leave the store and then didn't know that calling him rude was a descriptive word, an adjective, and not 'name calling'. She was professional and I was just a concerned citizen. I went on to the garden center to finish my shopping and Corey was really friendly and helped me find just what I needed from a very ambiguous description and no designated product. Back to Christine and she had completely swept the episode under the rug but I waited to confirm her kind and professional abilities on my behalf and especially in the face of such an egregious situation with the rude customer. I will go out of my way to come back to this store for my home renovations!
