None of warm winter style I was looking for but hey beggers can't be choosers am I right. Anyway, I ended up getting a moderately warm pair of red waterproof ones that unfortunately didn't allow me to swipe on my phone even though they had grip on the palm and fingers. On the brightside they did allow me to gather some nice rock specimans in a creek during a family hike without freezing my hand off. Thanks Lowes for not running out of gloves, you were a lifesaver.

I got a call the morning of the job and the contractor said he didn't have my address so they had to cancel the installation and refund my money. Huh? Here's my address, I'm 10 minutes away... So, I had to start all over again and reschedule for the following week. The contractor showed up this time but said my first new toilet couldn't be switched out because it wouldn't be at least 36 inches from the wall. The new toilet would only be 30 inches from the wall. Quick check on Grok to see the Code and the actual code say it must be only 21 inches. Okay, he doesn't want to install the toilet obviously. Let's go upstairs and check the second toilet... He moved the toilet sideways (bolts were loose) and said that it would need a new flange and Angi/Lowes does not allow him to replace flanges. All righty then. So, he left and I had to get a refund etc... Happy ending though I found a real plumber to do the job the following day. Dependable Plumbing was awesome. Lowes/Angi should partner with them.

Thank you Lowe's for having such a team of employees willing to do whatever it takes to make sure a customer leaves satisfied.

They kept the generators, gas cans and propane flowing, designating friendly/professional employees to stand by and help customers with the questions, purchase and loading of generators. I watched this go on over three days up to and after the storms. Sure they do it for profit, but still an impressive logistical operation carried by good employees.
