  UPDATE BELOW PLEASE READ UPDATE BELOW!! First I will say Gary was a polite man.  Professional upholster I cannot say. I was pretty disappointed with the finished job.  Now in all fairness I will say I have not brought this to his attention. I don't like conflict. But should he read the review I don't know that he would reach out either. Initially talking to Gary I stated that I've thought about getting new 3 inch foam for the chairs. He stated he had never heard of 3 inch foam. I found that odd, but thought ok, and from seeing the chairs with the old upholstery, he didn't think they needed new foam.  And stated he could add what I assumed to be sheets batting around the foam.  So I left, and when I got home I texted him to let me know before he started doing them, as I wanted to verbally tell him that I did not want the additional layered padding.  I waited approximately a week and asked if there was a delay as I had not heard from him, of which he replied, they're ready.  So he never let me know when he started, as I asked. I noticed on my original upholstery the material was sewn for the shape then placed on the chairs, then stapled.  This was not done with the new upholstrey I had purchased to use.  And you can clearly see where he folded instead of sewing.  And that because of the folds, it could not tightly fit down onto the board that held the foam.Personally had I had the strength to remove the staples myself, and had other equipment, I could have done a better job.  Hindsight, I would have found someone to remove all the original and then purchase necessary items to do it myself.  Hoping that I am able to share photos of the original vs. new for you to see for yourself.  If you do not see any then you'll know I could not.  With a seasoned professional upholterer you would not be able to tell they've been re-upholstered but these you can.  Five chairs cost me 250.00 this July 2023.  On a nice note, there were a few spots of white paint on the chairs he got off for me. Sadly disappointed, best wishes to you. UPDATE * UPDATE I did get with Gary to let him know of my disappointment for the chairs. He was willing to redo my chairs and they look much better. Gary allowed me to show him how I wanted them. Basically in my opinion there were not enough staples to keep it from looking rippled. He was also kind enough to return them to me, as I had made 3 trips up to pick them up. I appreciated that he was willing to make it right. Thanks Gary.

  I have had chairs and other cushions reupholstered by Gary. He always does a great job in his prices are very reasonable.
