- JJjudyDec 10, 20221.0I shopped here a few times and had positive experiences. This last time wasn’t so pleasant. Saddening actually.. I try not to pull this card but it’s just honestly how I felt. I felt racially profiled if you get my drift (I’m black). I worked retail yearsss ago so I know all of the subliminal behaviors and questions… It was “hey let me to hold that for you“* 2, are you looking for anything specific”*3, an employee magically pops up in every room I enter, etc… I was even browsing the items in the room behind the register and a staff person literally *jumps* to the register area—as if she’s worried I’m going to take something. Meanwhile, there were 2 other shoppers(white) carrying their items around the store, browsing peacefully without as much “attention” as I had. I really gave the situation enough time to ensure I wasn’t overthinking. I wasn’t. Really saddened because I love this niche of furniture and was so excited to find a place with their taste. I’ll be finding somewhere else to shop 💔
