I shop here frequently, but a couple of weeks ago, I tried to return a vent cover without a receipt. The staff attempted to find the transaction using my credit card and driver’s license but were unsuccessful, so I must have paid with cash. I only wanted to exchange it for a different size, but the customer service associate insisted I could only exchange it for the exact same item. Since that size didn’t fit, I ended up leaving the original vent there and simply buying the new one. I essentially paid double for a single vent cover.
Update: I called the number listed and it was not helpful at all. It’s not worth the hassle. I just won’t shop here anymore and my problem is solved.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
