    I genuinely do not understand how this location has such high ratings I rented a 10x15 unit in May due to last-minute international travel. The initial rate was $140/month, which already felt expensive, but I didn’t have time to shop around so I accepted it. While I was out of the country, the price quietly increased from $140 to $170, and then suddenly jumped to over $270/month — a $130+ increase in under 8 months. There was no meaningful notice or explanation. I only discovered this after returning to the U.S. in January 2026, because the account was on autopay. Honestly, after this experience, I don’t know how this location has such high Google ratings. My best guess is that many customers are on autopay, don’t actively monitor their statements, and don’t notice the price increases until much later — if at all. When I called to ask about the increase, the facility manager said she might be able to get approval to return me to my original rate, but I’d have to wait until the next day to hear back. This was two days before the next charge, and she made it clear there were no guarantees. In the meantime, I did some quick research and found comparable units elsewhere for under $100/month, so I decided to move out. I informed the facility manager in advance that I would be arriving with hired movers. When I arrived, there was only one other car in the parking lot, and I saw the manager in the office as I pulled in. After removing my lock, I discovered I could not open the gate to my unit. I called the office for help and reached another employee from a different facility, who told me the manager had “just gone on break.” The timing felt extremely convenient given she had just seen me arrive. I waited over an hour. Eventually, I went back down to the office and found the manager sitting at the computer, on speakerphone with someone who was clearly not a customer. When I began addressing the issue, she told them, “I’ll call you back,” indicating personal calls were taking priority over assisting a paying customer with movers actively on the clock. Movers charge by the hour, so this delay cost me money immediately. Once access was finally restored, I learned that one of the two elevators was already out of service — information that would have been very helpful before hiring movers. On the second elevator trip, the only remaining elevator also stopped working. At that point: Movers were stuck downstairs Most of my belongings were upstairs in the hallway No clear timeline, no urgency, no direct communication The manager didn’t come speak to me directly. She told the movers that she might call someone and that it would “realistically be fixed tomorrow.” Given that movers are paid hourly, I had no choice but to halt the move, eat the cost, and spend the rest of the day putting everything back into the unit. The next day, I called and calmly expressed that it was inconsiderate not to communicate directly with me, especially knowing movers were involved. There was no accountability and no apology. I later returned, completed the move, and called to notify her that my unit was fully empty so my account could be closed, as she instructed. Thankfully, I had already canceled autopay and removed my card. Despite this, the very next day I received a notice saying another payment was due. I immediately called and reached a different employee, who verified the unit was empty and closed my account without issue. This experience was defined by: Massive, unexplained price increases Poor transparency and reliance on autopay Broken equipment with no warning Wasted time and money due to mismanagement A facility manager who avoided responsibility and basic customer service There are far cheaper storage options with better communication and professionalism. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
