  Working with Balance Design was fantastic! Initially the plan was to address some specific needs--incorporate a dining table from my family home and improve the lighting throughout. Their plan was so thoughtful and reflective of my personality that I immediately expanded the scope to include other parts of my home. This resign and renovation transformed how I live and I am so so grateful!

  Melody and the Balance Design team helped me rebuild my entire home after a devastating house fire. Working with them was one of the best decisions I made during the 17-month process. Not only did they accompany me to the showroom when the contractor was rushing me to select materials for my kitchen and bathrooms, but they took time to understand my taste, my story, and how I actually want to live in the space. They guided me through materials, colors, custom details and layout decisions for the whole house with patience and clarity. The results truly helped me turn lemons (the fire) into lemonade (a stunning custom home that truly reflects me). The finished result feels warm, layered, inviting and deeply personal. My home is not only beautiful but also very livable. My guests always comment on how distinctive and thoughtful the design is. I recommend Balance Design wholeheartedly and would use them again in a heart beat.

  We engaged Balance Design for a complete renovation of the ground floor of our home and had a remarkable experience with this accomplished, smart and fun Team. Led and designed by Marlee Vlassis, we took the house down to the floors and walls and created a new kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, trim, crown, lighting, millwork, and all new furniture. Balance Design’s owner, Stephanie Andrews, was involved throughout and stayed in close contact while Marlee made the magic. We moved out of the house for 4 months and relied on Balance Design for every aspect of the project, including choosing the Builder and all of the fabricators (stone and upholstery), lighting designers, art and wall paper installers, etc. Everyone did a fantastic job. Who can say this after such an extensive renovation? Of course there were unexpected hurdles or delays and even a few mistakes in a project of this scope, and all of them were handled professionally, quickly and with great communication. Our project included architectural lighting from Visual Comfort, intricate wallpaper installations, custom millwork in places, custom upholstery and a large art collection that was the focus of the design. We met with multiple designers and firms in Atlanta before choosing Balance Design, and we are fortunate to have worked with them. Marlee’s expertise, leadership and immaculate taste brought us into a home that we love more than we expected. Balance Design works together as a cohesive team and the collaboration among this talented group was evident and trustworthy. We are grateful for them and already planning the next phase for the second story of the house.

  They have basically redone my whole house—curated, colorful, and perfectly in line with our collective vibe. Love working with Stephanie and Melody. I had the most low stress, fun house renovation experience of anyone I know. They’re amazing!!!

  I can’t recommend Balance Design highly enough! They helped us completely redesign and decorate our condo with ideas that were both incredibly creative and perfectly tailored to our tastes, budget, timeline, and needs. Since we were in another city during the renovation and move-in, we relied on them to manage everything remotely—and they handled it flawlessly with the utmost professionalism. The entire project was completed in just a few months, and working with Stephanie and Andrea was an absolute delight.
