Unlike starting a new installation from the ground up, pool and deck renovations require experience and finesse to accommodate the challenges resulting from years of weathering in a tropical environment. Mr. Marcite has been the top choice of local residents in Southwest Florida for over 35 years under the same hands-on leadership. We have the experience to complete your pool resurfacing or deck resurfacing project from start to finish in a timely fashion while paying particular attention to even the smallest details.
I looked at my 20 year old pool and it was bad. The bottom and sides were more orange than blue.
After considerable research, Mr. Marcite kept popping up. I even talked to a worker for a different pool company and he agreed, Mr. Marcite.
The job is now finished and it is perfect. It looks brand new.
The completed pool took three days.
The employees were very efficient and personable. The top man, Brent made everything work to our satisfaction.
Thank you

We had a complete pool resurfacing. The team that did the work did a nice job and worked very hard in the hot elements. The follow up was horrible. We had multiple discolorations and popups do not all work. Very disappointed after spending thousands.

From quote to finish, this company did a great job of paving our pool lanai deck & installing copping around our pool. Both crews were professional & courteous. Would recommend Mr. Marcite for your pool or deck.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. it used to be good, the new "owner" is destroying it. we paid $6,000 to have a crack in a spa repaired after 2 years it started leaking. In spite of a "5 year warranty" they refuse to repair it. Some guy came out and put a spot of caulk in a tile joint, talked about his $100,000 truck and left. started leaking again after a day. Called their office, no response, no return call. Zero response. Bad company, bad "owner". Use another company for pool or spa repairs. This one is no good and does not care about customers or repairing spa or pool. Incompetent, rude, worthless. YOU"VE BEEN WARNED.
Frequently Asked Questions About Mr. Marcite, Inc.
Why is the company called Mr. Marcite if you don't use Marcite anymore?
The company name was established back when Marcite was the only material on the market. Due to EPA-required restructuring of Marcite's formula, the nature and durability of the material changed. Because of this, other materials like PebbleStone and our own custom blended Quartz products have become the industry-standard.
I've heard that I shouldn't have may pool renovated during the rainy season because it could pop put of the ground. Is that true?
Ground water pressure is always a valid concern when draining a swimming pool. However, Mr. Marcite easily accommodates issues of ground water, and performs renovations year-round.
Understanding warranties for different materials and renovations can be confusing - can you help me understand what's special about a Mr. Marcite warranty?
Depending on the type of pool renovation you choose, the warranty period of your selected material may range anywhere from 5 years to lifetime. This is important because a material warranty may only obligate the manufacturer to supply you with replacement material - not the application of the replacement material to your pool. Labor costs are often higher than the cost of material, and you'd have to spend money out of your pocket to hire someone to apply the replacement surface. At Mr. Marcite we know our customers deserve better and we back our material with a 100% workmanship guarantee. In the unlikely event that your material fails while it is under warranty, we will not only replace the material, but also supply the labor to apply the replacement surface.
Do you subcontract your work?
All pool work is performed by skilled, in-house Mr. Marcite crews.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes! Unlike many warranties that only cover materials, Mr. Marcite backs both materials and labor. If your pool surface fails under warranty, we'll replace the material and apply it-at no extra cost to you.
How often should I resurface my pool?
Most pools in Florida need resurfacing every 7-15 years, depending on the finish:
Quartz: 10-15 years
Pebble: 15-20 years
Tile & Grout: at most 20 years
Florida's heat, UV exposure, and chemical use often shorten these lifespans compared to cooler states.
What are the signs my pool needs resurfacing?
You will want to look for:
Rough or chalky texture
Persistent stains or discoloration
Cracks or chips in the finish
Peeling or flaking (spalling)
Unexplained water loss (possible leaks)
What materials are best for Florida's climate?
We recommend the following:
Quartz: Durable, smooth finish
Pebble Finishes: Long-lasting, natural look, slip-resistant
How long does the resurfacing process take?
Typically 1 to 2 weeks, including:
Draining the pool
Removing old finish - May not be required
Repairing cracks
Applying new surface
Refilling and balancing water chemistry
Do you offer financing?
No, we do not currently have financing options available.
