- BMBridget MallakNov 22, 20252.0The good reviews of this place are mind blowing! The only positive was that the desk staff were friendly, but everything else was awful. This place is cheaper than other places for many reasons - water damage, not climate controlled, dirty, and unsafe. When we moved in in May the air conditioning was not working in the "climate controlled" building. We were told the A/C was being fixed that week, but when we returned it was still just as hot and humid inside. Every bucket of damprid was pure water. I'm certain there was no climate control all summer, even though we were charged for it. The unit also had crud growing down the wall/floor at move-in. It was their last open unit, so they agreed to clean it up while we waited. They told me I would receive a credit for the inconvenience, but I never did. We were also told by the staff during move-in that it was not safe for our college-aged daughter to be there alone or after dark, and I agree. There were multiple places with broken glass in the parking lot, kicked in drywall by the one working elevator, another renter was actively filing a theft report, and it looks like homeless are camping near their dumpster. The worst was finding extensive water damage on move-out. Our corner indoor unit had a roof or siding leak (not even during any hurricanes), and every single item was water damaged and extremely moldy - more proof there was never any climate control in the building. The kid working the front desk told me the manager would call me, but they never did. The only decent news is their insurance (which I had to purchase separately) did pay out at 90% of the claim. But that took several weeks of filing and responding to questions on the claim, and several more weeks to receive the check. And it did not make up for the inconvenience and annoyance of having to replace every single item. If you rent here, be sure to add insurance and take lots of before and after photos including the unit number. Also put everything in plastic bins and up on blocks. But we'll be going elsewhere.
