  If I could give them 0 stars, I would! This was a waste of over $100,000. 90% of everything they did for us had to be redone by others, from the trees replacement, to the bushes, the smaller material, the grass, irrigation system and lighting!!! They will nickel and dime you for the smallest request but they give you the saddest material they can find with promises that in a few months it will look great. That never happens. They installed irrigation that had to be repaired multiple times until it became clear that it’s less costly to replace the whole thing. The lighting they supplied is poor and faulty and their lighting guy never bothers to call you back, even after multiple messages. Material that requires full sun was planted in the shade (so it never blooms) and others that are meant to be in the shade are planted in full sun where they were scorched to death. Scott was our designer, what a disaster that was! The man knows nothing or cares nothing about what works and what doesn’t. Save yourself the aggravation and find another company where you get treated with care and respect and where they take pride in their work and reputation. The following is in response to the Critter Ridge response: I think any rational reader can appreciate the weak response by Critter Ridge, so let me clarify a couple of points: 1) no such conversation regarding the offer of a refund EVER took place! Though there’s always room for misinterpretation or miscommunication, that possibility does not apply here because it’s simply a blatant lie, a current fabrication to attempt to deflect responsibility. 2) The weather issues have nothing to do with the improper placements of materials that should have been installed in shady or sunny areas. No increment weather switched the plantings around! 3) Same applies to the irrigation system that had to be completely replaced because it was so bad and so poorly installed. 4) Same thing applies to the lighting installed by someone Critter Ridge hired to it. Terrible job and endless calls and not a single call returned. 5) here’s the best part: following Critter Ridge recommendation (Scott in particular), we hired Critter Ridge’s son, Michael (who owns a separate company to do maintenance). Michael himself saw all the problems the poor install had created and told me he spoke to his father (Critter Ridge’s owner) detailing all the problems with the material placement, the horrible irrigation job that needed urgent attention and the lighting issue. He told us his father said he would call us shortly to discuss. After repeated requests, that call never came. Michael kept apologizing for his father and was clearly embarrassed. Eventually, we grew frustrated and afraid we would lose all the plantings due to poor irrigation. Following Michael’s advice, we changed the ENTIRE irrigation system we had just installed. Critter Ridge: you’d be so much better off admitting your goof-up with grace and dignity instead of coming up with a pathetic response packed with lies and lame explanations that have nothing to do with the weather and blaming others for your negligence. To the reader trying to make a decision about hiring Critter Ridge: buyer beware. Read all reviews, shop around and then decide. Again, I’ll be glad to offer supporting documentation to show all the evidence you may need. No weak arguments. Evidence.

  Critter Ridge did a spectacular job of designing our landscaping redo - and then executing it perfectly! They were very patient working with me to make sure we got just what we wanted - and it looks gorgeous!!! Thank you!!!
