Came to my boyfriends home to fix a leak where the filter is the tech puts a Vaseline type gel around the ring and leaves, I ask him shouldn,t you put a new ring in he says the one I have is fine, 4 days later it started leaking again, I called them and was told I would have to pay for them to come back out, I said that's not right he should have put a new rubber ring in while he was here, basically I was told to bad we have cost to cover so you have to pay for another service call. Terrible Company, Stay away from them, their techs are inexperienced and who ever I talked to it's all about the money. We had another Pool Company come out and they said to rubber ring was worn out and should have been replaced and all the gel they put on it would never stop it from leaking.

Aloha Pool Service is exceptional! They specialize in installing and repairing pool equipment, and James is incredibly knowledgeable—quick to diagnose issues and recommend the right solutions. Their pricing is fair, and they always make an effort to fit you into their schedule promptly.
I’m a returning customer because they’re not only highly skilled but also personable. They answer questions patiently, explain how everything works, and handle installations flawlessly. They replaced my old sand filter with a cartridge filter a few months ago, and today Greg installed my pool pump seamlessly while also fixing another issue.
Their professionalism, promptness, technical expertise, and dedication truly set them apart.
Aloha Pool Service is a company you can TRUST!

Replaced the pump motor and used the O rings that were 3 years old, I guestioned this, they said they didn't have the O rings with them and the other O rings would be fine which were 3 years old, we'll 4 months later they leaked. I called the owner and after a 30 minute call going back and forth with him saying it,s not his fault he agreed to come back out and fix it and while I had this leak water got into the motor and burnt it up. So now I have to pay for the new motor. A different tech came out and after installing it which took about 30 minutes it didn't work, I said to him are you getting current to the motor he said yes then I told him the motor is defective, he said let me call another tech and check some other things an hour let he wanted the old pump to hook it back up, I said why, he wanted to see what would happen, at this point I knew I had a new tech another hour goes by and he's still fulling around with a defective motor. I told him again the motor is defective as I used to repair pinball machines, video games, etc.so he agreed. I got another pump and called the owner only to have him tell me all the time his tech spent 3 hours at my home, I told him his tech was inexperienced and I told the tech the pump was defective but he decided on his own to try all these different things that didn,t work, the owner wanted me to spend a fortune and replace the whole pump assembly. I said no not when the motor is the only problem, when I told him that it was the 1st techs fault for putting in old rubber rings he said he doesn't want to deal with me and hung up. Very bad business man. Who has lazy and inexperienced techs that if they would have ordered a new O ring set instead of putting 3 year old rings in I wouldn't have had this problem.
Frequently Asked Questions About Aloha Pool Service
How long does it take to heat the pool with an electric heater?
The heating time for an electric heater varies based on the pool's size and initial water temperature. Generally, electric heaters require more time to warm the water compared to gas-powered alternatives.
How fast can a gas heater warm up my pool?
Gas heaters are known for their rapid heating capabilities, often raising water temperature significantly within a matter of hours. This makes them particularly suitable for pools that are used intermittently.
What is the average lifespan of a gas pool heater?
With regular and proper maintenance, gas pool heaters typically last between five to seven years before requiring replacement.
Do I need a gas line installed for this heater?
Natural gas heaters do require a gas line installation. If natural gas is not available in your area, propane can serve as a viable alternative fuel source.
Which is more cost-effective: natural gas or propane?
Natural gas is typically the more economical option if a gas line is already present. While propane offers convenience in areas without natural gas access, it often comes with a higher cost per BTU.
How often do propane tanks need refilling?
The refill frequency for propane tanks depends on your pool's size and usage patterns. Under heavy use conditions, you may need to refill the tank every few weeks.
Can I convert from propane to natural gas later?
Many heaters are designed to allow conversion between propane and natural gas. However, this process requires professional service to ensure safety and proper functioning.
How does a heat pump work in cooler weather?
Heat pumps perform optimally in warm climates like Florida. When temperatures drop below 50F, these units may require more time to heat the pool water effectively.
Is a heat pump more energy-efficient than a gas heater?
Heat pumps are indeed more energy-efficient than gas heaters, resulting in lower long-term operational costs. However, they do heat the water at a slower rate compared to gas heaters.
What maintenance does a heat pump require?
To maintain optimal efficiency, heat pumps require regular cleaning of their coils and annual professional inspections. These maintenance practices help ensure the longevity and performance of your unit.
