Lowes is a good store for certain supplies and in my opinion it's more of a store for finish work or DIY people, I am a contractor so I buy some things there as they've got good quality materials, wood is usually a lot better than others plus the paint section is great where they can match any color from a chip when trying to match up a repair job. Their return policy isn't that great as I've got a pro account and even if I buy something as usually I'll purchase more for a project then return what we don't use as to avoid having to go back they give you a hard time if you lose your receipt which I feel they should change as it's on your profile so they see you bought it, the exact time, day and if you paid with a card or cash but other than that Lowes is a good store to shop.

I just called the store at 9:30 am to speak to someone about a washer sale that is online. The girl who answered the phone tells me that the person who has any info is not at the store. “Does not arrive until 12:00 noon’” It is a Saturday morning. What a way to help a customer, who was planing to buy a washer online from the Lowe’s website!

I needed two pieces of plywood cut to a specific size. I called ahead (on 2/5/26 at 8:20 pm) just to make sure it was something they could help me with before using my time to drive to the store. Instead, I wasted 20 minutes of my night sitting on the phone while they bounced me around different departments, for them to randomly just end the call while I was still on hold. I was super polite to everyone I spoke to so that was very frustrating. Fortunately, Home Depot answered the phone call quickly and was super friendly and helpful about taking care of what I needed. Now I have my plywood and will probably never do business with that Lowe’s again with options like that Home Depot available.

Called because I had a question about tax forms and the customer representative was a little loud and cut me off while trying to confirm. She hung up on me and I had to call twice, had problems before with customer service purchasing a refrigerator and will always tell people that want to go to Lowe's that they are better off going to home Depot

How do I know if my order is ready to be picked up?
You’ll receive an email with pickup instructions and the location of the store you selected when your order is ready. You can pick up your order during store operating hours at the designated pickup area. For your protection, only the cardholder or an authorized user of the credit card may pick up the order.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
