The other woman working there, Lisa is the exact opposite. I've NEVER dealt with anyone so rude and unprofessional. She's the reason that I closed both units and moved out. The first time I ever spoke to her was to ask if they have any stick traps for mice since I saw droppings in one of my units. They use them there and some places supply them. She was abrasive right off the bat, telling me that the exterminator was JUST THERE YESTERDAY, like "How dare you ask such a stupid question?". How am I supposed to know they were there? That's irrelevant to my question. She said they don't pass out sticky traps and told me to report if I see any mice. Huh? What does she think I was doing? There are OBVIOUSLY mice in the unit. Many months later I was having trouble with the electronic door on the side of the building and I asked her if she was aware. So I showed her hos it's not operating correctly. So she puts in a code and YANKS it open, and says "See, it works. You can get in if you put in your code and jut TWIST the handle and pull." Then she abruptly left and went inside, then turned around and got a jab in as the door was closing, saying "Twist and pull. It's SIMPLE", as if I was a complete idiot. So I examined the issue more carefully and found that twisting has NOTHING to do with it since, from the outside, twisting the handle doesn't retract the bolt. The electronic lock acts on the latch side (on the door frame), not in the door itself. So I went to the office to tell her that twisting the handle isn't the fix. There's a PROBLEM with the lock mechanism. She said "Oh, you complain all the time." This was only the second time I ever spoke to this woman, and she says I complain all the time. Then he says "Why don't you go across the street and complain to Darrell? If you don't like the way the door works then you can just leave." I wasn't sure if she was actually inviting me to move out, so I asked her to clarify and she said "Go rent somewhere else." Wow! This woman has NO business in customer service. Then, she said "You told Darrell that Stephanie and I are ugly." WHAT? This NEVER happened. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and thought that she must be confusing me with somebody else. Then she falsely accused me of being in the unit with the door closed. HUH? A complete lie. She said that they log all the complaints and she can show me, so I said "OK, let's see them". The actually GOT IN MY FACE and said with a sneer "I don't have to show you nothin'. It's private company information." I backed up and told her to get out of my face. This is just shockingly unprofessional behavior and she gets away with it because she knows there's no camera right there. The last time a crazy woman did that it got physical and the police ended up arresting her. She should be THANKING me for bringing things to their attention. Unbelievable. This woman is a liability for ExtraSpace. I took her advice and took my business elsewhere. This facility doesn't deserve your business when they employ people like this. The other issue is that this is the most expensive place around. If you're storing for a few months it's OK, but after that you can expect some pretty stiff rent hikes. I looked around and soon found a nicer, newer facility with MUCH lower regular rates. It's well worth the effort to look around.
