Gene was super helpful, he assisted me in finding EVERYTHING I needed. He loaded a couple doors for my house project while I wrangled my kids and he helped me load them into my truck.
The following day I had to do a return, and he assisted me again in finding what I needed.

Miss Connie and Justin in the outdoor area with above and beyond to help me out. I killed a bunch of my wife’s plants while she was out of the country and had nothing more than pictures of some dead plants and they went around the entire store helping me find everything I needed. I would give 10 stars if I could.

This is my 1st negative review, and encompasses two negative experiences I have had with Lowes while making large purchases.
1st Incident: I order a washer and dryer for my new home in fall of 2024. Spent over $3500. I am unable to do laundry as I wait for delivery. I ordered white washer and dryers, standard delivery wait. Fast forward 5 weeks and I am still doing laundry at my mom's house. I go up to Lowes, and they explain that the white version is at a store in SC and the order was stuck in the system and was never processed. I said I don't care, I just need it fixed. They said they can get me the same units in BLUE. Fine. Now I have blue washer and dryers. They show scratches very easily.
2nd Incident. I want to purchase a riding lawnmower for my new home. I settle on the EGO Zero-turn 42-inch mower. Super excited about it.
First sales associate I ask about delivery says its free as long as I am local (I am), so when I come back two days later to open a credit card with Lowes and make my purchase, I have the second associate check the delivery fee. He rings it up; a little over $5200, and no delivery fee. "You must be right" he states. This was on Saturday 3/28.
He says I should expect a delivery date to be assigned on Monday. On Monday I get an update stating my order will be ready for pickup on Wednesday... On Wednesday it says the same thing; I had taken the morning off to be there for delivery. so I call up there and speak with Deb in deliveries. Deb is very nice and says that while they typically charge $79 for delivery, she will waive that and have it to me on Friday.
Friday comes and I have yet to get a delivery window assigned. I call Lowes at 7:15am and am able to speak with Deb again. She remembers me. She says there are only two stops ahead of me, the truck is being loaded now, and I should expect the guy before 10:00am.
Cool. My wife, infant daughter, and mother are at my house. They can manage that. 11:00am rolls around and it has yet to be delivered. I drive up to Lowes and ask to speak with Deb (she's busy) but I am told it will be at my house soon.
I go home, eat lunch, and they still aren't there, so I leave. When I get back to work the delivery guy calls me and asks where to put the mower. I ask if he can put it in my garage. He says he doesn't know if he can because the batteries aren't charged and he doesn't know anything about electric mowers.
So the only option he has is to use his forklift to pickup the 5K Electric mower, drive on my driveway, and leave the mower in my driveway blocking my ability to close my garage door until I get home and have time to charge it and move it inside. That's where it is sitting now as I type this.
We asked the driver what time he left the store; he said 11:00am or so.... Remember when I was told it would be delivered prior to 10:00?
Over my life I have probably spent 25k at Lowes. I won't be shopping here anymore, and once I pay off the mower I will be cancelling my Lowes credit card.
Do better, Lowes.
TLDR: Lowes will take your money, but does not have a good system in place to fulfil large orders that customers are unable to take out of the store with them at the time of purchase. Go to Home Depot.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
