I wanted to share some feedback from my visit today.
I used self checkout while purchasing several bathroom fixtures and accessories. While I understand associates are there to assist, the employee working the area stood directly over me, repeatedly pointed out obvious barcodes, and physically grabbed items from my cart to show me where to scan.
I was already in the process of checking out and did not need assistance. The experience felt intrusive and uncomfortable rather than helpful.
For reference, this appears to be the same older associate with short gray hair who often works the self-checkout area. This has happened to me more than once, which is why I’m reaching out. I’ve never needed assistance and always scan all my items, so it’s starting to feel less like help and more like being monitored.
If customers choose self checkout, they should be allowed to complete their purchase without being hovered over or having their items handled unless they specifically ask for help. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of self checkout.
I’m a regular customer and spend a lot at your store, but experiences like this honestly make me consider shopping elsewhere. I hope this can be addressed through better training on respecting customer space.

Lowe’s employees …Please stop choosing my receipt option for me before I get the chance to pick. I am a big girl and can choose myself. I like an emailed receipt in case I bought the wrong part and lose my receipt. It’s very frustrating! Are you doing that on purpose to keep us from returning things?
Other than that your store is great. The floor attendants actually approached me today! And helped me find what I needed.

Just did a total remodel of my master bathroom and got most of my stuff from Lowes. Tile, decorative tiles, stand alone tub, tub faucet, 2 sink faucets, shower floor tile, and a lot of other minor things. Very happy with all of it.
