- BSB SNov 25, 20252.0We have been longtime tenants of this facility - since shortly after they opened. Every 6 months or so, they have increased pricing. I have to call and argue and then they'll lower prices some, but never to what our initial agreement was - or even a reasonable increase to accommodate for inflation. We were being charged more than what the exact same unit would rent new based on their web pricing. As such, we recently decided to remove our stuff and relocate. Upon arrival at the facility, the back gate was left in an open position. When I went to enter the building, my code didn't work on the keypad. After multiple attempts, I started around to the front of the building. The office attendant met me at the door and advised the sliding doors were broken and we had to manually pry them open. That was 2 months ago. When we moved out yesterday, the gate was still in an upright position and the backdoor remains broken. I went to the office to ask for my move out to be finalized. The attendant advised she would visit the unit later and ensure there was no trash and finalize the move out. I raised concerns with the attendant because this leaves me responsible for an unsecured unit in an unsecured building. Her response was, "it's secure. I have the police drive by after hours." Anyone, in broad daylight, could move stuff into my unit. Anyone could dump their trash in my unit. The fact renters are paying full price for a secure facility that hasn't been secure for at least 2 months - maybe longer (I hadn't been there in a while before that) is absurd.
