I recently went to empty my unit only to find that every single item I owned was covered in mold. My expensive bed, all of my furniture, my clothing, and my shoes are completely ruined. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, the attendant admitted that the air conditioning unit had been out for weeks. They knew the climate control was failing and apparently did nothing to notify tenants or protect our property. This is a textbook case of gross negligence. To make matters worse, when I originally signed up for the unit, the staff member automatically defaulted to waiving the insurance without even asking me or explaining the options. Because of their assumptions and their failure to maintain the facility, I am now left with thousands of dollars in property damage and no immediate recourse. Avoid this facility at all costs. They do not maintain their equipment, and they do not care about the safety of your belongings.
