  Awesome place, they were honest enough to tell me about a part that was being replaced for free by the company that makes my washer everybody else I called they didn't say a word about it they were just gonna charge me. The service guy Mike was very friendly and knew what he was talking about and how to do his job.

  I had an outstanding experience with Atchley Appliances, and what truly stood out was their incredible customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and treated like a valued customer rather than just another sale. The staff went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. They were patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions without rushing me or using any sales pressure. It honestly felt like they cared more about making sure I was happy with my decision than simply selling an appliance. Communication throughout the process was excellent. They kept me informed about delivery, arrived on time, and handled installation professionally and efficiently. The team was respectful, friendly, and made sure everything was working perfectly before they left. It’s rare to find this level of genuine, attentive service anymore, and Atchley Appliances truly exceeded my expectations. If great customer service matters to you, this is absolutely the place to go.

  They advised me on all of the units they had for sale. When I picked a dryer at the end of the day, they delivered the next morning. We've bought from them twice and it's always been a good experience

  I highly recommend these guys, I have been using them for years when I have an appliance break. They are family owned and run by brothers Walter and Lucas now, Both of which are highly knowledgeable and their prices are very fair. Another good thing about them is that they offer a full line of used appliances for sale as well.

  Edit again: They did not admit the issue. They did refund my money by mailing a check I didn’t ask for. They repeatedly wanted me to call or something. If I can’t get honest high quality service the first time, I am certainly not going back for more. Freezer they told me was broken (would be around $500 to attempt to fix, and had a leak but was not checked for pressures, has been working flawlessly since the tech left having done nothing but put an amp clamp on the compressor power wire. If I was 20/20 John Stossel, they would have been caught in an investigative reporting sting. I replaced the other freezer that did in fact have a leak which I had figured out before they were ever called, and my wife hates the new freezer. The old one used R12 and was a tank. Leak was not found. Just told the refrigerant would be $950 plus repair costs and no guaranty. No one expected a guaranty but it seemed like we were being heavily encouraged to buy a new appliance. I did, just not from them. EDIT: It has now been a few weeks and the freezer their tech told me had a leak and was going to be an additional $550 "on average" to fix has had a block of ice frozen solid (started as a gallon of water) since I plugged it back in, and the tech did nothing. I would call that a rip off diagnoses. I am now changing my stars to 1. So bottom line, I told him when he got there, I think they have leaks, and he told me when he was done checking current draw with am amp probe (I could have done THAT myself) without checing refrigerant levels at all, that they are leaking. The one was clearly not cooling. The other I told him wasn’t cold enough. As it stands, its possible the power was being manipulated by the ower company, or it had come partially unplugged, for a few days, or it was simply over loaded, leading to my soft icecream, but without connecting any equipment to check pressures, he came up with, its leaked out almost all its refrigerant and will cost on average $550. Original Post: $190 to find out what I already knew before service came out. I have leaks. I was hoping to find out at least where the leaks are for the cost of the service call. Preliminary estimate to repair chest freezer $550 ish and no gauranty the leak isn’t in the walls and un-repairable. New chest freezer $599.95 at Lowes. Preliminary estimate to repair the stand up freezer “$50-100 per ounce for the R12 (9 ounces) and we don’t know if we can fix the leak or not. Did we do a pressure test yet? NOPE. I thought the service call would give us answers as to what the repair would be, but all I got was “the compressors are fine, the freezers have leaks” which is what I said in the first place. I also thought I was paying for 1 service call to the location, but instead I paid for 2 because I have 2 items. The folks on the phone did not disclose that. I would expct to pay abotu $60 an hour. Round trip including time spent on property we are looking at about 75 minutes, so I put down over priced.
