- JRJutt RockjawJan 14, 20263.0This seems to be more of the norm than not every time I visit a Lowe’s home improvement store. When I walk through the store, I encounter groups of employees, anywhere from 3 to 5 people standing around talking and laughing. You would expect at least somebody to make eye contact with you, but that hasn’t been the case over the last few years. A long time ago, when I was in the commercial refrigeration business, I dealt with the company here in Florida called Scotties and over a period of time it began to look like a retirees, entertainment venue more than anything else. This is a real shame because I’ve seen it happen in real time the other successful companies who didn’t pay attention to the troops in the trenches. Today I went in to get a key made for my front door. I walked, and I walked through the store, not realizing that they have done away with whoever cut the keys and installed a fancy little machine that did a nice job for a reasonable price at least it would pay attention to me. Corporate better wake up, we have other places we can go for the things we need. The only difference in any of these stores is the person you deal with and today I dealt with a computer.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
