I had a terrible experience at this store. I went in to buy some plants for my apartment and was thrilled to find some I really liked. I went to the self-checkout, not realizing one plant was missing a price tag. I immediately informed the cashier, who informed me I’d have to go back to the gardening section for help.
(No problem, I work retail, so I can somewhat understand.) As soon as I walked to the checkout section in the gardening section, I was stared at as if I was bothering one of the employees. I asked if they could check me out, and he hesitated and asked another employee if the register was still open. As he began to check me out, I told him I was informed to come here because my plant was missing a price tag. He immediately caught an attitude and said, “I guess I could look it up.” He asked me for the name of the plant, and I told him the name. I also told him that there were a bunch of them in the section and that they were $60 each. He looked at the employee behind him and tried to force me to take a picture of the price tag because he couldn’t leave the area. But he wasn’t alone. So at this point, I was confused. Why was everyone giving me a hard time for trying to spend money? He threw his arm up and insinuated that I was wasting his time. Instead of asking for a manager, I simply left the cart. Whoever the older white man with glasses was, he was not helpful. No one was, and I was exhausted at this point.

This is hands down the best store of its kind, surpassing both Home Depot and other Lowe’s. The deals are amazing, and the customer service is top-notch. After being away from Jacksonville for several years, I just returned last week and needed to shop for a new washer, dryer, and some light fixtures. As soon as I asked for assistance, someone showed up almost immediately, and everything was taken care of without delay. The staff consistently checked in to see if I needed help, even while I was using the self-checkout. Truly impressive. They treat their customers like VIPs, and it's clear that the management here goes above and beyond since they create the atmosphere! This store truly makes Lowe's look good. From now on, I'll be making the trip here for all my home improvement needs.
