But my experience at ExtraSpace Storage in Fort Myers was the exact opposite—all thanks to the incredible Property Manager, Margaret. I rent a lot of storage units each year. From the moment I arrived, Margaret went above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen at a storage facility. Instead of the typical “sit behind a desk and hand you paperwork” process, she personally drove me out to view my unit. When we noticed an obstruction that could make parking difficult, she immediately offered me a choice of several other units that would be easier to access—something no other facility has ever proactively done. On top of that, she noticed how hot and stressed I was and brought me a glass of water. When I couldn’t find my wrench to disconnect my battery, she showed up with a full tool kit to loan me. She even stayed to help me put the car cover on and later offered to pick me up in the golf cart so I didn’t have to carry my luggage across the lot. This level of service is unheard of in self-storage. Margaret is the real deal, and ExtraSpace is incredibly lucky to have her running this location. If you’re looking for storage in Fort Myers, I can’t recommend this facility—and especially Margaret—highly enough.
