I have been working with them for years and think they are the best! I also had them do an inspection of the new house I recently purchased. I can't recommend these guys enough!

RUN RUN RUN! Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Customer service was very rude and the third party they use to tent your house doesn’t care about your property either.
They broke our fence and a window, when we spoke with the owner/manager as the company said he said that we would figure out the fence and window once the tenting is completed and once the fumigation was completed reach back out and their response was did you read the contract.
Outside of that the punctuality and communication was lacking every step of the way. Never having fumigated a house before and after they did it still don’t really understand the process!

Frequently Asked Questions About JD Smith Pest Control
What are termites?
Termites are insects that consume wood. They've existed since prehistoric times. While they serve an ecological purpose, they're estimated to cause $5 billion in property damage annually in the United States. Connect with our team for termite treatment services and avoid the costly headaches!
Are there different kinds of termites?
There are three primary types of termites found in the United States: dampwood, drywood, and subterranean. Dampwood termites typically inhabit heavily wooded areas and prefer moist wood. Drywood termites, which are less common in the U.S., thrive in very dry wood. Subterranean termites, the most destructive species, require damp environments and primarily live in soil.
How do you recognize termites?
Termite swarms may be visible in early spring, depending on your location. These insects are often mistaken for flying ants. Signs of termite infestation include soft wood within the home, mud tubes on the exterior of the house (particularly near the foundation), and wood structures that appear darkened or blistered.
What can a homeowner do to prevent termites?
Homeowners can take several preventive measures against termite infestation. The most crucial step is to reduce moisture around the home, as termites require it to thrive. Install properly functioning downspouts, gutters, and splash blocks to divert water from the foundation. Ensure proper ventilation in crawl spaces to reduce humidity. Keep vines, hedges, and vegetation trimmed to avoid blocking vents. Remove old form boards, grade stakes, tree trunks, and roots near buildings. Maintain an 18-inch gap between soil and wooden parts of the home. Regularly inspect the foundation for signs of termite damage.
How difficult are termites to treat?
Termite infestations are not effectively treatable by homeowners alone. Professional pest control services possess the necessary training, expertise, and technology to successfully eliminate termite problems.
Has there really been a resurgence in bedbugs in the U.S. and how do you know?
There has indeed been an increase in bedbug infestations in the United States. According to recent data, 95% of pest management companies report encountering bedbug infestations within the past year, compared to only 25% prior to 2000. A recent survey by the National Pest Management Association also indicates that one in five Americans has experienced a bedbug infestation or knows someone who has encountered bedbugs at home or in a hotel.
Where have you been finding bedbugs?
Bedbug infestations are not confined to any specific type of dwelling. Pest control companies report finding these pests in a wide range of locations, including single-family homes, multi-family housing, apartments, hotels, hospitals, schools, college campuses, office buildings, retail stores, movie theaters, and even public transportation. It's important to note that even high-end establishments such as five-star hotels and luxury clothing stores are not immune to bedbug infestations.
What is the connection between pests and asthma in Children?
Cockroaches are a significant trigger for allergies and asthma attacks, particularly in children. The allergen proteins found in cockroach saliva, droppings, and decomposing bodies are known to provoke allergies and exacerbate the severity of asthma symptoms.
How can professional pest control help alleviate asthma?
Professional pest control services can aid in asthma management by preventing or eliminating pests that trigger asthma symptoms. A pest management professional can conduct a thorough inspection of the home, eradicate existing pests, and provide homeowners with strategies to prevent future infestations, thereby reducing potential asthma triggers.
What are Cockroach/Mouse Allergens?
Cockroach and mouse allergens consist of pest-related materials such as their remains, feces, and other debris, collectively referred to as 'frass'.
What types of termites are commonly found in the United States?
The three primary types of termites in the U.S. are dampwood, drywood, and subterranean termites, with subterranean termites being the most destructive species.
How can homeowners recognize termite infestations?
Signs include visible termite swarms in early spring, soft wood inside the home, mud tubes on the home's exterior near the foundation, and wood structures that appear darkened or blistered.
What preventive steps can homeowners take against termites?
Reducing moisture around the home is key. This includes proper drainage with gutters and downspouts, ventilating crawl spaces, trimming vegetation near vents, maintaining a gap between soil and wood parts of the home, and inspecting foundations regularly.
Are termite infestations easy to treat on your own?
