    I was at the store today in the garden section and ended up talking to a great guy. He knew what he was talking about. But I forget his name 60s guy with a mustache. He helped me a few times and I just can’t say enough about how knowledgeable he is.

    Sold me a broken grill. After trying to use it once, it was unusable. Was told “Floor Models are sold as is” yet was not sold to me as a floor model. Was given a separate number to call the manufacturer that “might” send me a replacement part in 2 weeks when I need it for today which is why I bought it. Go to Home Depot.

    Lowe’s Cabinet Project Recap – Extremely Frustrating Experience I typically wait until a project is completed before writing a review. Unfortunately, I’ve reached the point where I’m not confident this project will ever be finished. I began a cabinet installation project for my home office in September 2025. The design included 11 feet of upper and lower cabinets along a wall, plus a 5-foot peninsula. As part of the project, I requested installation of two additional electrical outlets. Despite multiple follow-ups, I never received an estimate for that work and ultimately moved forward without it just to avoid further delays. It took over a month of back-and-forth to finalize the design and estimate. However, when the cabinets finally arrived, the design had clear flaws. The installer had to make modifications because some cabinet doors were blocked by the peninsula and couldn’t open properly. After approval and deposit, the cabinets arrived in early December—within the expected timeframe. However, during installation, the installer discovered that most of the cabinets were damaged or had poor finishes. A full reorder was required. I was told the reorder would be expedited, but it took over two months—twice as long as the original order. When the replacements finally arrived, the upper cabinets were still unacceptable and could not be installed. The lower cabinets were installed, and yet another reorder was required. At this point, we were already five months into the project (February 5). Then, unexpectedly, I received an email requesting completion of a “Lead Renovation, Repair & Painting (LRRP) Checklist” because my home was supposedly built prior to 1978. In reality, my home was completed in September 2025—another clear breakdown in the process. Throughout this time, I received dozens of “update” calls from the Lowe’s Cabinet Installation Call Center. Unfortunately, these were more frustrating than helpful, as most representatives seemed unfamiliar with my project history. On March 7, during one of these calls, I discovered that two doors and filler pieces—supposedly ordered on February 5 to correct the flawed design—had never actually been ordered. They were finally placed at that time, with yet another one-month wait. It ultimately took an additional six weeks to receive the upper cabinets, doors, and fillers. The upper cabinets were shipped to my home, but the doors and fillers were sent to the store. I was told the installer would pick them up on installation day—however, as of today, the installation has still not been scheduled. Most recently, I received a call from a local store representative informing me that I needed to pick up the doors and fillers myself. When I explained that this should be handled by the installer, I was abruptly hung up on. After months of delays, errors, poor communication, and lack of accountability, this has easily been the most frustrating home improvement experience I’ve ever had. As a loyal Lowe’s customer for decades, it’s disappointing to say this—but this will be the last project I trust Lowe’s to handle. I hope sharing my experience helps others avoid a similar situation.
