I’m totally convinced that most people that are employed here hate their job. The rep at the appliance counter certainly does. I purchased a microwave online and selected pick up. It was available the next day. Great. I went to the pick up area and no one was there. There was a check in machine so I checked in and sat and waited for 10 minutes. A guy shows up checks my id and hands me the microwave. I take it home and unpack it to be installed I have a built in. As I’m taking the protective tape off the face of it the numbers pad falls out off the unit. I repack everything into the box and back to Lowe’s I go. Walked in returned it with no issues and head back to appliances. I went to the counter and found a less than enthusiastic employee there. I explained what happened and she told me go get another one over there. How do I know this won’t happen again? You don’t she said they are packaged. I take my microwave go back to the pick up counter and check in again. 10 minutes later same guy shows up I tell him I’m not leaving the store until he opens it and checks that it’s ok. Also less than enthusiastic. But his assistant was more than willing to help me and it checked out. I guess it’s a coin toss who you get but I just feel it shouldn’t be this way especially when you’re taking my money.
