Here at General Appliance Service, we believe in integrity. We hold firmly to the belief that our techicians should inspire confidence, radiate trust and be honest and forthcoming. Our owner, Rob is also the lead technician and surly becoming known in the area as an honest and caring business man.While we see some of our competitors out there on the road with lots of trucks and technicians, we still get a lot of calls from people that have contacted these larger firms and end up hiring us. At General Appliance Service, we're frugal and appreciate that customers are on a budget and a broken appliance isn't necessarily a budgeted expense. We have an extensive history of helping customers with cost effective appliance repair.

    Great experience—this was my first time using this company. The scheduler I spoke with was extremely friendly and asked detailed questions about the issue I was having with my dishwasher. They explained the process clearly and set expectations well. A technician was originally scheduled to come out within two days, but he called to let me know he could arrive a day earlier since his appointments finished early. He diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes, ordered the needed part, and returned the very next day to complete the repair. My dishwasher is now back up and running smoothly. Price was reasonable as it was less than the cost of a new dishwasher. Plus this dishwasher is less than 5 years old.

    I had my refrigerator repaired by General Appliance Service this past week. They did an excellent job. They offered a 2 hour window vs. the standard annoying 4 hr window most companies offer and booking was so easy. You could do it online on your own vs. talking to someone on the phone and you could make adjustments to the appointment online as well. Lastly, the repair person was knowledgeable, quick and friendly. He even showed my husband the broken piece before he replaced it. I would definitely use the company again.

    Scheduling an appointment was easy. They came within their appointed time and called me about 30 minutes prior to arrival. The technician explained the error codes, reset my machine, and it’s now working fine. I’m completely satisfied with the service and the price. I would definitely recommend General Appliance Services and will call them again if needed.

    I recently had a disappointing experience with them. My refrigerator's ice maker broke down, and despite multiple service visits, they failed to fix the problem. First, they replaced the part they said was the issue and I paid them in full. The part did correct the issue . I called them and notified them of this. They then said it will need another part. “No Problem “ I said and “I presume you would credit and or return the part they replaced.” Yes was their response. They said the new part would take a couple days.. needs to be ordered. I called back after a week and half and they said it’s coming in and would be out within a day to install. They came and installed the new part and removed the old part. I asked for detailed copy of receipt and they said it would be emailed. After asking/ texting and calling they finally sent the receipt and I was NOT Given credit for the part, just the service call. Guess what….. the second repair did not fix the issue either!! They have not returned my messages, No return calls or email Responses. I ended up buying a new fridge and out the $650.00 plus I paid them. FOR NOT REPAIRING my issue. The service was frustrating and ultimately ineffective, leaving me with a non-functional appliance and a lighter wallet. I'm really disappointed with their service. Would NOT recommend.

    The service technician, Moriel, called me two days before the appointment to fix our LG clothes washer, to make sure he knew the issue (an IE error code) and had the correct parts available. The morning of the appointment, he gave me an exact ETA based on his vehicle navigation (no 2-hour window!), arrived promptly, and was courteous and professional. He fixed our washer and left the laundry room area clean. Cost for visit seemed a little high ($374+tax, price for parts online seems to be around $110); A++ for service and B for price. Edited to add: several days later the IE error code occurred again, so Moriel returned for a second time, waited through a wash cycle, and diagnosed and fixed the problem (a supply hose that was improperly placed), WITHOUT any additional charges.
