I bought a riding mower on a Thursday afternoon at the Lowe's on Rt.273 in Newark De. At the time the Lawn and Garden Manager, whose name is Emmanuel was helping me with the sale and all he did was keep trying to sell me the protection plans and the Lowe's credit card multiple times even though I said no politely he kept going over five times pushing the sale of the protection plan in the Lowe's credit card. Once we got past that I paid for it and they asked me if I was coming to pick it up later that day or another date I explained I would be back tomorrow at 8 AM to pick it up. At that point, they asked me if I wanted it to be assembled, which I also said yes to. Friday morning comes I realized they probably wouldn't have it ready by 8 AM so I waited until about 10:30 AM to go rent a box truck And pick up the riding mower. When I arrived to the pick up window, they said my item was not ready. Finally, the assistant store manager got involved and asked me to come back on another day after their assembly team comes to the store on Tuesday. I told him I'd already lost a day of work pay and rented a truck so I did not want to come back on another day. I also told him that the person that sold it to me agreed that they would have it assembled and have it ready for me to pick up on Friday. After about an hour of scuffling about not knowing what to do, the manager picked one of the employees to do the assembly and get it ready for me. The gentleman he picked his name was Dave and he was very helpful. He actually saved the day! So I'm very appreciative of what Dave did for me today because it wasn't part of his normal job description and yet he finished it for me in less time than he said he would and I got the riding mower home. Thank you, Dave for your help, but I remain frustrated with Emmanuel and the general management team at Lowe's location.

I purchased a full LG kitchen bundle and washer dryer bundle at Lowes, and everything fell apart when it was time to install the dishwasher. The delivery guys said there would be a contractor to install which I was aware of when I completed the online purchase and it took me to a contractor's page to sign and schedule. After an hour or so I called the New Castle store and talked to the manager who said they would call me back and I just happen to be in a work meeting so they left a message saying that the items was purchased from the Newark De store and they just delivered some of the items from the New Castle store. Red flag, the delivery guy said all the items came out of the New Castle store. Long story short, the installation part of my purchase only for the dishwasher just vanished and no one will take accountability for assisting to get my dishwasher installed because they're unable to see the installation in the order. I called the Newark store where I was left on hold for 1.5 hrs thinking she was trying to rewrite the order to include the installation. Called the Lowes Online support line who was very kind but unable to assist and referred me to the Installation Support team who transferred me to the installer who in turn transferred me back to the Newark location. You would think after spending that much money they would suck up the $240 for the installation cost considering it was during the promotion that said if you purchased a bundle over $1999- the installation would be free as a rewards member and to keep a valued customer. They just lost my business forever along with my family's business, as we all use to shop Lowes. I was just going to call them the next day to set up the project of installing my exterior doors and screen doors. That will not be happening now. Taking my business elsewhere. I just find it sad that such a large retailer has to take advantage of its customers in such a disrespectful way. I should have read all these complaints before I made such a large purchase. Any savings I gained from the promotion is now being spent on having someone come and install my appliance. The only reason I gave them 1 star is that's the only you can post a comment. Note to Owner: I have called that # well over 5x's and get the same response. Sorry we can help you, all you can do is to pay for an installation. After spending what I've spent don't you think that's a little absurd. What a generic response. This is the way a mega giant retailer responds to their customers. I can't believe a company this size can not do anything about this situation other than want to charge me more money.

Just spent 30 minutes at the paint counter at the Ogletown location waiting for someone to come help. Another customer asked if they could talk to a manager and the employees told us all the managers were in a meeting. I finally asked an employee if anyone was actually coming to the paint desk after waiting so long and the employee said no one would be in til 5 for the paint desk and that all the managers were in a meeting. I wish customer service who was right across would have let me know no one was coming so I could have kept it moving.

The most horrible experience at Lowe's Newark! The assistant manager even came up and we showed him a photo and we're willing to go show on the clearance tag clearly marked on the light fixtures and he still would not honor the clearance price. We probably easily spend between God 3 to 10,000 a year here
