    I will start off by saying I generally have had pleasant experiences at the Container Store and have purchased a significant number of shoe boxes from them in the past. I recently purchased 5 cases that contained 6 shoe boxes in each case. Once I unpackaged I found 2 of the shoe boxes were damaged, I headed to the store to do a simple exchange for the 2 damaged shoe boxes. While at the store I told the cashier that I was requesting an exchange to which she replied "ooo this would be different SKU for single boxes compared to the 6 pack of shoe boxes and they may need me to bring all 6 shoe boxes in". At that time someone I assume to be the manager came over and stated much the same thing to which I responded "that's crazy to need to bring them all in as 4/6 had no issues". The manager then went to and actually pulled 2 replacement shoe boxes which should have ended the conversation as she FOUND A SOLUTION to the problem. After she handed me the replacement shoe boxes she proceeds to tell me (1) next time I have broken shoe boxes in my case that I need to bring in all 6 shoe boxes (2) I could have opened the package in store to inspect them when I purchased them. I responded to her that I had purchased 5 cases at one time and wasn't going to open them all before I left the store (aside from no one should have to do that when they make a purchase). To which she then replied (3) we could have opened them and checked them for you before you left. I have never had an employee/manager talk to me in this manner, and I am still confused on why any of what she said was necessary after she made the exchange. I told her I didn't appreciate her vibe and even was nice enough to still wish her a happy holiday. But to list to me all the things I should have done when at best I should assume that Container Store has appropriate packaging so items don't get damaged is absurd. Why the conversation didn't end after she SUCCESSFULLY took care of the issue by doing the exchange, I am still confused about.

    Went in for a design consultation to get some help with organizing an office space that has gotten out of control. Natalie was so sweet and beyond helpful. It was clear that she gave us her full attention and listened to every word we said and expression we had. We all walked away feeling so positively and ready to tackle to problem! Well worth the hour drive.

    Nice store but customer service was unavailable. I wanted to purchase meal prep containers, but with the lack of workers asking if they could assist me completely turned me off from this store. I ended up walking our without buying anything. Need to approve on customer interactions

    I love storage and organization, so naturally I was pretty jazzed when I learned there was a place called The Container Store. I finally visited it today and I was sorely disappointed. The store did not seem particularly well stocked, lots of holes on the shelves. But the thing that really annoyed me is that there were virtually no prices posted for anything. For every five things on a shelf set, there were maybe two price tags. And half the time the prices weren’t even for the item on the shelf. It’s all stupidly overpriced to begin with. There’s no way I’m gonna take any of it up to the register without knowing the price. Walked out empty handed and walked through the store much faster than I would have anticipated. I came an hour away from Maryland for nothing.
