  BRIDES BEWARE!!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR DRESS HERE. I dropped off my mother’s wedding dress in August of 2025 to be altered for my April wedding. After several unanswered calls to both phone numbers and voicemail, we had to stop into the store for an update on the dress in February of 2026, at we time we discovered no work had been done during the 5 months Kimmel Stitches had the dress. We were never told they wouldn’t start working on the dress until after February when we dropped it off - if we had been told that we would’ve gone elsewhere at that time. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

  BRIDES: AVOID THIS PLACE. I used Kimmel Stitches to have my bridesmaid dress altered a few years ago, everything was fine. Fast forward a few years later, I myself was getting married. I dropped my dress off 11 weeks prior to the wedding.. I did not get my dress back until 3 DAYS before the wedding. After 9 weeks went by, I called Kimmel asking for an update the owner told me she was working on the dress and would call at the end of the week. Never did. My friend went there the following week to get her bridesmaid dress altered for my wedding, while my friend was there she asked about my dress. Again the owner said she was working on it and would be calling me by the end of the week, again never did. Finally, one week prior to my wedding I contacted the owner again asking where is my dress. She said she was finally finishing it and to come in. When I got there to try it on the under layers of my dress were longer than the top layer, one of the cups of the dress I asked to have fixed during the initial appointment was never fixed, and my bustle was incorrect. The owner did not apologize at all, instead just kept saying how busy she was with prom season. This is someone’s WEDDING you’re messing with. The owner told me to come back two days later and she would have the dress fixed. I can back two days later and again; the under layer of my dress was still too long and the bustle was still incorrect. She also put a lining inside my dress since it was originally see through and I did not want it that way. After the lining was put in, it caused the zipper in the back of my dress to be slightly crooked. Instead of taking ownership she said, “it’s your back fat that is making the dress crooked” disgusting to talk to a bride in that manner, instead of taking ownership for her screw up. Since the issues were still not corrected; the owner again told me to come back on two days later again.. at this point my wedding was 4 days away. I came back again, put the dress back on and the bustle was STILL incorrect. My father finally told the owner were not leaving until the dress is fixed correctly. I finally left with my dress that night after paying almost $600 for alterations. The night of my wedding my bustle broke since the owner only put a single button as the bustle. Normal please do three separate buttons to hold it up. All in all, don’t waste your time and money with this place. The owner did not apologize once and blamed anything she could instead of taking ownership. Terrible business. DONT GO THERE.
