When a hardware store doesn't have a unique item, it's common to ask if they know of anyone else in the area that might carry it. Lowe's man in hardware with the soul patch gasps at my asking such a thing and says, "I only work here, at this place." He could have said, No I'm sorry I don't. No wonder walk-in retail dies a little more every day. Amazon will be delivering it tomorrow morning by 8am. Should have saved my time and gas even trying to support a physical store.

But since I’ve been caring for my elderly mother—and taking on the adventure of updating her home—I’ve discovered a true gem in the team at Lowe’s.
From the moment you walk in, there’s a sense of professionalism, courtesy, and genuine willingness to help. Manager Sharissa deserves special mention—she went above and beyond assisting us with a faucet return that had been sitting around for months. She handled the situation with kindness and patience, explaining everything clearly to my mother and ensuring the process was smooth.
And then there’s Timmy in the washer and dryer department—an absolute hero! He helped us navigate the tricky challenge of fitting a new washer into a very tight space, with good humor and skill that made the experience stress-free.
