    I’ve been shopping at this LOWES for years and have found their service and products to have been acceptable but unremarkable. I’ve recently noticed a significant improvement in customer service and attentiveness on the part of employees. On a recent visit I was looking for some small switch plate screws. A young male employee approached me in the hardware aisle and offered help. He located the item several aisles away then returned with a sample and escorted me to the exact location so I could see the choices. ALL THIS for a small ( under $4 ) item. I am sorry that I didn’t get the name of this courteous young man. He was an outstanding representative of the store who generated a fortune in good will far beyond the meager price of my purchase. Thank you, unnamed YOUNG MAN. I encourage store managers and supervisors to encourage more of this behavior. The value of such small courtesies cannot be measured. Because of this act, LOWES has moved up on my list of places to shop.

    Saturday afternoon before Christmas, only one register not self checkout open. Normally I would use self checkout, but this was for instacart and they prohibit self checkout from Lowes.

    I was actually a huge fan of Lowe’s before this experience and will never spend a dime on this absolute horrible company again. The absolute worst costumer service, I would give 0 stars if I could. Their manager Matt T gave me zero help with an order. As well as their corporate customer service. I went to the Milford Lowe’s to buy a tub and was told the one I wanted was available in Danbury. Was told to order it online so it would be available for pick up by the time I got there. After I ordered the tub it said that it would be available 2 weeks from my order date. Which defeats the whole purpose of ordering it at their location. I tried to transfer the order to the Milford Lowe’s which is much closer to me but the only option I had was to cancel my order. Which would have been fine if I didn’t use a gift card and got a discount on it. Which then would be null and void (as I was told). Which then I would have to wait another 2 weeks for it to arrive in the mail. 4 weeks, after something was said available to be picked up the same day. I will never shop from a single Lowe’s location again after this experience. Home Depot is a superior company in regards to their customer service.
