On Monday April 13, 2026 I stopped at Lowes on Wadsworth to purchase a large amount of dirt for my new raised beds. I parked on the outer area in the parking lot and walked past the pallets as I headed to the garden area. I noticed a Miracle Grow Pallet that was open and stopped to look at the volume of the bag. An employee named RAM yelled at me and said ‘Stop opening the pallets!’ I told him I didn’t open the pallet. He continues to YELL at me to ‘not open the pallets!’ This continued on for several minutes. He was very angry and told me to get out of the area and go to the garden center. I told him I was not going to shop at Lowes. I did nothing wrong and at 67 years old, I don’t think I was a threat to his precious pallets. As I walked back to my car he continued to yell at me. I left. I called and spoke with the assistant manager, Will and he was very nice, apologized but never offered to call me back regarding his actions with the employee. The next day my partner went to the store to speak with the manager, Kerry to find out if there were actions taken against the employee. Her response was ‘it has been addressed.’ She was rude to my partner and would not discuss it further. All we were looking for was an apology for the rude, unnecessary behavior. We would have liked to be assured that this angry, rude employee would not do this to another customer. We will never go back to Lowe’s. It’s unfortunate for them because my partner is a contractor and spends about $250,000.00 at Home Depot/Lowe’s per year. We will take all our business to other home improvement businesses.
