This place is expansive and has a HUGE selection of plants, shrubs, trees, mulch, compost, soil, pots and anything else you can imagine for your garden. Do you want a giant bear or dragon for your yard? Or a miniature Stonehenge? Jared's has that! They also have friendly, helpful staff and an air-conditioned checkout room that you'll appreciate on a hot day. The reason for four stars instead of five is the pricing - don't expect big box or Mom-and-Pop hardware store prices. We bought some small garden plants that look healthy (jalapeno, shishito, tomatoes) and weren't too much more than you'll find elsewhere, but couldn't afford some of the other items we would have liked to get there. As an example, their 4"x10' metal garden edging was $27 per piece; it looked thick and sturdy but is $7-$10 more per piece than what I found at the two big-box lumber stores that I was trying to avoid. (I try to support locally-owned stores whenever I can but it's not always financially possible.) If you're looking for an incredible selection of high-quality nursery items, plenty of room to browse and great customer service, Jared's is the place to go!
