I walked around for 30 to 45 minutes looking at stuff that I wanted to purchase right then in there and not one person greeted me.

- DCDeborah CasperNov 12, 20251.0Hello, I drove down from Montrose today to shop at AFW because my entire home is furnished with AFW pieces. I came in looking for a black dining room table to start with. When I asked the young lady who offered assistance if the table was in stock, she checked and confirmed that it was. I said, “Great! Can I see it?” She replied that they cannot keep all items on display. I asked again if there was any way to view it, and she said no. I even asked if I could pull up to the pickup area to check it out, but again, the answer was no. I then asked her to check with a manager. She walked around, came back, and said no again. I was surprised, especially since I mentioned that this could cost a sale. She just stood there without offering alternatives. As someone who has been a Customer Service Manager for over 30 years, I was shocked by the response. She didn’t have the courtesy to bring a manager to speak with me, and I would have understood if there was a safety reason or policy behind it. Unfortunately, nothing was explained. This was around 10:30 this morning. She was a short young lady with her hair pulled back and seemed a bit timid. She didn’t offer to show me other tables or ask what I was trying to accomplish. So, me and my $1,500 walked out of the store and purchased a table and other furniture at Furniture Row instead. I hope my comments can be used as a coaching opportunity. Don’t let a sale walk out the door, you never know how much someone is willing to spend. I’ll probably be back when I’m in the market for more furniture, but I hope to see improvement in customer service. Thank you, D. Casper
