The original delivery timeline was over a month out, which didn’t work. I called Container Store and worked with a closet consultant to modify the design (including changing the color), and I was explicitly assured it would arrive by a specific date. That date gave me about 1½ days to install it before I had to leave town — I live out of town and was traveling in specifically to help her move. I placed the order based on that delivery assurance. The closet did not arrive as promised and was delayed until the day after I left, leaving my mother without a functioning closet while unpacking alone. I stayed in contact with Container Store throughout and was repeatedly told delivery was on track. When I ultimately spoke with a Container Store manager, he acknowledged the situation but offered no accommodation or consideration. For a company that markets itself as a premium, service-oriented brand, I expected accountability when a delivery commitment directly influenced the purchase decision. The product may be fine, but the handling of this situation was disappointing.

Especially the manager Jay. He is absolutely the best person in customer service I have encountered in such a long time. He went out of his way to help me multiple days and made sure everything was great.
