I had been locked out and just called the nearest place because I was desperate since my phone was dying, so I couldn’t do any research. When a person got here, he said he had to drill into the deadbolt lock to unlock it, that there was no way to pick it (I later found out this is false, people only do that if they’re trying to sell you a new lock, which he was). After he destroyed the lock, he was saying the locks were $150-$200. I obviously don’t know anything about locks, but the situation felt off and I had a chain lock for the time being so I just had him leave after $300 spent for the “service” itself. We bought a ($20) lock and installed it ourselves till my apartment’s maintenance person could come by, and he said we absolutely were scammed.
