I was shopping for supplies to make a Valentine’s gift and as I was about to pay the cashier told me they don’t accept tap to pay, so I said I would run to my car to grab my wallet. As I was walking out, the EAS security gates went off. I immediately said I didn’t have anything and was just going to my car to pay. The store manager, Kerri or whatever her name is, was at the door and told me to walk through again. I did, and the alarm at the EAS gates kept going off. She became upset and insisted I must have something in my pockets, saying, “You are not understanding, the alarm wouldn’t go off if you didn’t have anything.” I repeatedly explained I had nothing and even emptied my pockets. It was embarrassing and unnecessary, especially since I was clearly coming back to pay. After that, I went to my car to grab my wallet so I could pay for my items — because that was my intention the entire time. When I came back in, the alarm didn’t go off. Instead of apologizing, the manager told me, “You are not welcome here, go ahead and leave the store.”
