We're offering safe Alterations services for your convenience. During your in-store Alterations appointment, you can expect a safe environment where a mask is provided to you. Alterations employees will also be staying safe in both a mask and gloves. We'll take precautions such as increased sanitization in fitting rooms. If you had alterations being completed before our store closures and your completed garments are ready for pickup, we'll reach out to coordinate complimentary shipping of items directly to you. If safe Contactless Curbside Pickup is available at your store, you can choose to pick up completed garments via this method or have them shipped to you.

- TDToni DottererMay 3, 20241.0Went in to see about dress alterations. The Tailor was eating lunch and got food on the back of a dress I just had dry cleaned then proceeded to tell me the back of the dress was ugly and for her to try and make it better it would cost more than the dress was worth.

The seamstress, N, did a nice job steaming, but she was extremely unfriendly and down right rude which was very off putting-- will definitely be going to other locations for alterations services in the future. I called Rack twice this week to see what days the seamstress is available, they advised any day except Mon & Wed. Called twice on two separate days and asked if I would be able to swing by and get the dress steamed same day-- both employees said yes. When I showed up, N tried to turn me away because she had too much work and I politely explained I am happy to wait an extra day for it to be steamed, but there seems to be a miscommunication between her & front of store about how her services work. She was incredibly flippant and had a horrible attitude. When I went to pickup the dress and asked how to pay for her services, she advised she didn't have time to print me a ticket so I should just take the dress and leave. Now, most people wouldn't mind this, but honestly I'd rather pay and get things done correctly. I was able to leave without paying for the dress being steamed, but N's unprofessionalism was truly unmatched. Would not recommend others go here for alteration services, the experience was incredibly unpleasant and awkward. Love Nordstrom Rack, but this employee was so disrespectful I left shocked-- truly didn't think a 10 minute steam would be an inconvenience. If she is overworked, perhaps another seamstress should be lined up to work with her. Either way, I likely won't approach this store again for alterations services, which is a bummer because it's the closest location to me and I'd like to make use of my Nordstrom Card alterations benefits. N could have made this alterations request simple and easy or agreed to steam it on a separate day, but she chose to be disrespectful instead. Not a good look.
