I love coming to this store and recently I’ve been experiencing such rude staff. Particularly these 2 girls one with red hair and glasses and the other with a bun. I ask for help and they are scoffing and not helpful. They would gossip and laugh and I confronted them asking if they were going to help and one girl said “yeah not right now” and begins laughing with the other girl. I really hope upper management sees this.

Store No. 595
I am submitting this complaint regarding the unprofessional and rude behavior of an employee named Maximiliano during checkout at your West Covina location on 12/30/2025 at approximately 9:30 a.m.
While paying, we attempted to explain that another employee had directed us to an end cap of New Year’s decorations that was clearly labeled 40% off. Maximiliano repeatedly interrupted us, spoke over us, and refused to listen as we explained that we were misled by the signage and employee direction.
Although he stated that yellow price tags indicated clearance and did not qualify for the discount, the issue was not the pricing. A manager later apologized for the misinformation regarding the signage, but my concern was Maximiliano’s condescending tone, dismissive facial expressions, and lack of respect throughout the interaction.
Despite other customers being present, he continued to display a poor attitude and showed no effort to listen or de-escalate the situation. As a customer-facing employee, professionalism, respect, and attentive listening should be standard. This interaction did not meet those expectations and left a very negative impression.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience and hope this matter is addressed appropriately.

One star is generous. I don’t understand how this location has such a high rating. Most of the managers and front-end underachievers are absolutely miserable and rude. Walking in already knowing you’re about to be treated poorly says everything about this store.
Customer service is clearly nonexistent. I’ll gladly take my money to Michael’s, where employees don’t act like customers are an inconvenience. The prices are definitely not worth having to interact with people who clearly hate their life.
If basic human decency is too much to ask, maybe install self-checkouts and get rid of your cashiers entirely. At the end of the day, customers are the reason you even have a job (:
* FYI I am reposting this since they are removing negative reviews. Please start calling corporate as well, maybe that will make a difference.

I really enjoy this store, but I’ve consistently encountered staff who are rude and unhelpful. This has happened on multiple occasions, so I hope management will consider hiring team members with stronger customer service skills. I love the store itself—I just wish the overall experience with the employees was more pleasant. Fyi this is the Hobby Lobby in the Eastland center.
