We're offering safe Alterations services for your convenience. During your in-store Alterations appointment, you can expect a safe environment where a mask is provided to you. Alterations employees will also be staying safe in both a mask and gloves. We'll take precautions such as increased sanitization in fitting rooms. If you had alterations being completed before our store closures and your completed garments are ready for pickup, we'll reach out to coordinate complimentary shipping of items directly to you. If safe Contactless Curbside Pickup is available at your store, you can choose to pick up completed garments via this method or have them shipped to you.

- TPTracy “Pax” PaxtonAug 7, 20251.0I had an appointment today at 4:30. Walked to the checkout station to ask for the alterations department to be called, the person at the desk made eye contact with me, and then just walked away, and never came back. I waited about 10 minutes at the desk for help. One person finally came by to assist. She called the alterations department, and told me they the were running a little behind, but would be over to assist in a few minutes. I waited in a dressing room until 5:00, and then had to go back to the checkout desk to ask someone to call alterations again. Seems as if I was forgotten about. The tailor arrived about 5 minutes later, no apology, she was rude, and immediately stated couldn’t help me. I wasted 50 minutes of my day for rude service and didn’t receive help. As an aside, I was at Macy’s the other day, and every single person was helpful and friendly. Perhaps, Nordstrom should do customer service training at Macy’s

Customer service reached out to me ahead of time to make sure they could help me and confirm details. Upon arrival at the store they refused to alter my suit because it was not freshly dry-cleaned in a bag, a fact that was not mentioned before nor is easily visible on their website. If wearing a suit lightly for 2 hours at a work function somehow makes it ineligible for tailoring services, I would expect to be notified in advance. Staff refused to do anything to help or alleviate the situation as well. So much for nordstrom customer service.
