**Horrific Follow-Up & Zero Accountability**
It truly pains me to write a negative review about a small business—especially as a small business owner myself—but this experience leaves me no choice but to warn others.
I purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer from Ruddy’s Appliance on 11/15/2025, the sales representative was Gracie. I was told one unit was an open-box item, and before purchasing, I was assured that the dryer keys were included. When the machines were delivered, the keys were missing.
I immediately called and spoke with Gracie, the sales representative, who assured me on 11/16/2025 that she would order the keys and that they would arrive within about a week. Since then, I have been given nothing but the runaround. After countless phone calls and texts, I was repeatedly told the keys had been ordered—yet no one ever followed up.
I escalated the issue twice to the owner, Butch Reddy, who promised to call me back. He never did. I had to chase him repeatedly just to get updates. On November 26th, after more unanswered calls, Gracie texted that she was “99% sure” the keys would arrive the following Wednesday. Again—no call, no keys.
On December 11th, I reached out yet again and was asked to send a photo of a number on the back of the dryer so the keys could be ordered from Speed Queen. After Christmas and New Year’s, I continued to be told “next week.” Still nothing.
Eventually, Butch gave me the contact information Tom Moseng of R&B Wholesale Hayward for Speed Queen. I reached out to him on December 28, 2025. He initially made it sound like this would be resolved immediately. Unfortunately, he has proven just as unreliable—promising delivery “next week” multiple times, never returning calls, and unable to provide a tracking number.
Here we are months later, and I still do not have the keys for machines I paid for and cannot fully use in my rental property. This has inconvenienced my tenants and damaged my own reputation as a landlord—something that matters deeply to me.
What’s most frustrating is not the missing keys—it’s the complete lack of follow-through, communication, and accountability from everyone involved. Promises are made, then ignored. Calls are not returned. Timelines mean nothing.
If you value reliability, transparency, and basic customer service, proceed with extreme caution. This has been one of the most disappointing post-sale experiences I’ve ever had.
