Good selection, decent prices, and everything laid out where it makes sense. But if you need help? That’s hit or miss. Some employees really know their stuff… others, you might be better off figuring it out yourself. Still, for DIY projects or quick runs, it works. Just come in with a plan and you’ll be fine.

While I understand these events are popular, the registration system is nearly impossible to navigate, and the way the staff handled walk-ins was incredibly frustrating. My child was so excited to participate, but we were flatly turned away because we didn’t have a pre-registered code. The contrast with Home Depot is night and day—at Home Depot, they let you fill out a form on the spot and always seem to have kits ready so no child leaves crying. I want to be clear that this review is specifically regarding this store's management and the staff members working the event today, not a reflection of the Lowe's brand overall. However, the rigid "registration-only" policy here feels exclusionary. A better system would be to hold kits for registered users for the first 30 minutes and then release them to walk-in families, or simply stock extra kits. Seeing my child’s excitement turn into sadness was heartbreaking. We’ll be sticking to the competitor's workshops from now on where the atmosphere is much more welcoming for families.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
