I really thought there was no repair that would restore the edge smoothly. A friend recommended that I bring it in to Mauricio at South Bay Refinishing. They said he worked magic on a chair of theirs and now I believe them. Not only was the repair done perfectly, the cost was far less than I imagined it would be, the color match was exact, and he finished the job in a very timely fashion. Couldn't be happier.
