I recently purchased the deal on the Bosch batteries with the free miter saw that they keep promoting on social media but has been out of stock since Nov. I learned that the miter saw needs a stronger battery to work efficiently, so I wanted to return the batteries. When I tried to do so last Wed at this location, the person at the returns desk tried to talk me out of it. She showed me the Lowes website that showed both the batteries and miter saw were 18V, but the problem is that the batteries in this deal are 4Ah (amp hours).
I understand that it's not realistic to think that everyone working at Lowes would understand power tools, but when I asked if they would try to process the return, they told me I'd need to return both the batteries and saw together and that they weren't willing to even try. I ended up returning just the battery at another location with no problems.
This location either doesn't train their staff properly or is telling their returns desk to try to avoid these returns so it doesn't hurt their bottom line. I understand this is what retail looks like now, but it just makes me not want to shop at this location.
