    I always forget about Lowes and end up at the other big home improvement store. That's unfortunate because Lowes is cleaner and always has shorter lines. This location is especially good becaue the employees are very helpful. Several of them asked if they could help me without me having to ask them.

    There is a reason this vendor, and in particular this store, have such a low rating... For some inexplicable reason Lowe's implemented a policy where you cannot return items without a receipt, which means you're out of luck if you paid in cash. No option of store credit is available. I had no idea about this policy change and asked for a manager to request a one-time exception. The manager walks over and says he "has no authority" to give an exception to my $50-ish returned items total. I politely told the cashier and manager that I would never shop at this store again. Ironically, I was planning to purchase a refrigerator immediately after my return but only went there first because it's closer to the entrance. To whoever had the genius idea to save a few dollars on fraudulent returns by implementing this policy, you're going to lose thousands (possibly tens of thousands) in lost customer purchases.

    My experience with Lowe’s Sunnyvale regarding a custom blinds order has been incredibly upsetting and frustrating from start to finish. We visited the store in mid-December to schedule a window measurement appointment, which went smoothly — but everything after that has been a mess. After the measurements, we purchased the blinds online through a Lowe’s representative, with an expected delivery date in mid-January. When that date came, there were no updates or communication from Lowe’s or the vendor. After giving it some time, I called customer service and learned the order had been delayed because the vendor had supposedly been trying to contact Lowe’s for clarification — but no one at Lowe’s ever responded. I was told by the agent that Lowe’s and the vendor use an outdated, unreliable communication system, and that had I not called when I did, the order would have been canceled that very day. The order was then delayed another month, with a new delivery date of early February. As of today, the order still shows as incomplete, and there’s no clear tracking or confirmation of what’s been delivered. I received a few boxes but couldn’t tell if everything had arrived, so I called again — got placed on hold, only to be hung up on after 20 minutes. This isn’t the first rude or unhelpful interaction either. A few weekends ago, someone from the store called with an interrogating tone, questioning whether I even ordered the blinds through Lowe’s, before eventually saying they’d “look into it and call back.” No one ever did. Between unreturned calls, long hold times, disconnected calls, and the total lack of accountability, I’ve spent countless hours just trying to get a straightforward update. I’ve even gone into the store multiple times with no success in finding someone who could actually help. I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from ordering custom blinds — or honestly, anything that involves coordination or installation — from this Lowe’s location. It’s been an exhausting experience with almost no communication and zero customer care.
