They have really good sales here, my only issue is the lack of customer service by some of the employees. For some reason they had a bunch of the really good paintings that were 40% off really high and a bunch of empty shelves below for some unknown reason. I had to get an employee to help me and she was very reluctant to help me even though she's on the clock and it's her job. She was complaining and huffing and puffing and sighing the entire time that she had to get on the ladder and get me down two paintings like it's such a big deal. It made me kind of want to get her to get me down more paintings just because she was complaining. Look I'm here to spend money and get paintings and she didn't want me to. There's also a lot of employees that aren't in uniform and it's really hard to tell who works there and who doesn't work there when you need help. I could have honestly climbed on the ladder and got the paintings myself but osha wouldn't like that. The cashier was also not very helpful she put a bunch of heavy items in a single paper bag that broke in the parking lot before I even got it into the car. Why would you put something that you had to wrap in paper in a single bag? She also seemed very frustrated that I had so many paintings and was struggling to ring me. There's also a lot of empty shelves in this store and potential that is being lost. Also...why don't they take tap to pay? It's 2026. The cashier was so rude to me when I tried to pay with my phone like I should know that they don't take tap to pay when actually it's really uncommon for stores not to take tap to pay.

I had a very poor experience with the worker Noriko. She was very rude and dismissive to a simple question. I had asked “excuse me,” no response or acknowledgment until the third time where she just turned to me. I then asked “is there a customer bathroom?” And before I could finish she cut me off and said “in the very front” not very helpful but I ended finding the bathroom where the sign says employee assistance is needed for access. So I go back to my other shoppers and they tell me to ask her again since she is right there. I then go back up to her and explain how I need assistance accessing the bathroom when she cuts me off, again, and say “you just need a code (with an eye roll)” and blurts out the code while walking away. Very unpleased with this interaction as I have worked in customer service and retail for 6+ years. Update: my cousin and I went into another store after leaving hobby lobby and as we were walking to our car another customer from hobby came up to us and gave us kudos for standing up for ourselves by talking to the manger and said as soon as we left Noriko was mumbling to herself “I knew after they talked to me they were going to have a problem.” To have other customers come up to us and tell us this was upsetting and reassurance that we did the right thing by saying something.
