  Extremely unhelpful management (long hair, piercings) that does not have the customer service skills to support their customers. I come here every month or so to buy cheese, and I saw some candles and bought 2 wine glasses. I have been coming here for 2 years now and know the lady in the front- Karen- who helped me sign up for an account. When she was helping me pick out candles, she accidentally scanned 3 glasses, instead of 2. I called right away that night because I saw the receipt when I came home. They said I can come in within 60 days to fix it and they can’t fix it online. I understand mistakes happen, but I was bothered by the mistake because I live slightly far away and there was a chip in one of the glasses too. I put that glass aside until I got the time to finally go in a month later. I went in today, and another associate helped me and called the manager for help. The manager went and checked the inventory, and said their inventory was fine so it can’t be right, and asked why I waited so long to come in. I told them it’s because they told me I can come in within 60 days. Either way, I was extremely bothered because I came a long way for a $7 glass; only for management to fail to correct their employee’s mistake. Although I appreciate the products here, I will never return again due to extremely poor management practices in resolving customer concerns.

  I had an extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable experience at this World Market location. I came into the store with my friend simply to browse, but almost immediately an employee began following us around the store. It was very obvious that she was only watching us and not any other customers. At one point she approached us and forced a basket into our hands, claiming it was “for honesty.” This comment was incredibly insulting and implied that we were expected to steal simply because of how we looked. She continued to stare at us and follow us throughout the store the entire time we were there. Because of how uncomfortable and singled out we felt, we decided to leave the store without purchasing anything. Being treated like a criminal while simply trying to shop is humiliating and unacceptable.

  What a fun and beautiful store! So many treasures in so many departments. A great place for holiday gift shopping or that something special for yourself! The store is very neatly organized and festive for the holidays! And every single employee I encountered was friendly and cheerful and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be working there! I admittedly was drawn by their Golden Nutcracker promotion (which paid off as I found $20!), but will return for more great gifts!
