I made a purchase at Artificial Turf Express totaling $6,422.70. Shortly after, within two hours of making the purchase, I decided to cancel the order. The turf I purchased was never picked up, and the cancellation was made well before any processing or shipping could have occurred.
However, upon canceling the order, Artificial Turf Express charged me a 20% restocking fee amounting to $1,284.54. At no point during the transaction was I informed about any restocking fee, either verbally or in writing. There were also no visible signs in the store that indicated the existence of such a fee.
I find this charge to be unfair and deceptive. The merchant failed to disclose this critical piece of information before completing the transaction, which is not only unethical but also potentially illegal under consumer protection laws.
I respectfully request that the BBB assist in resolving this issue by asking Artificial Turf Express to refund the $1,284.54 restocking fee. I believe that other customers should be aware of this practice, and I would like to ensure that the merchant adheres to proper business practices in the future.
