Great selection of international snacks but most are cheaper online. Biggest disappointment was how small the wine section is now.

I am writing this review to express how deeply upset and disappointed I am with the treatment my family received at the World Market in San Dimas, California. Today, my husband, daughter, and I visited the store to purchase the $50 Bonne Maman Fruit Spreads and Honey Advent Calendar. Instead of a pleasant shopping experience, we were followed and watched in an uncomfortable and intimidating manner by a large male employee—apparently the store’s “floor walker,” identifiable by his noticeable gauged ear piercings.
From the moment we entered, it was clear he was shadowing my family. His behavior was so obvious that it disrupted our ability to shop, and at one point he even ran to the back of the store only to continue monitoring us from a distance. When I confronted him, he retreated into the back area, confirming that his intentions were not customer service–related.
As a Black family, this experience felt like profiling, and it left me in tears as we exited the store. No customer should ever feel singled out or judged while simply trying to shop. Management, including Lori, needs to address this immediately to ensure that all customers—regardless of race—are treated with respect and dignity. Next time I will take a picture of him.
I am sharing this so others are aware, and in hopes that the store takes steps to correct this unacceptable behavior. No one should have to experience what my family went through today.

World Market has an incredible amount of very nice items. My daughter and I wondered around for about an hour admiring all this store has to offer. From delicious soaps to cookware. We will definitely be returning.

It's such a fun store to look around and explore in. From specialty soaps, to rugs and furniture to delicious ingredients. So many bags of coffees and teas to take and prepare at home. And as we near Christmas they have tons of ornaments created all over the world. I can't wait to come back and explore again soon
